Enjoy a thrilling boat ride through scenic gorges in search of Chinook Salmon, brown and rainbow trout. The Rakaia river has the largest King Salmon runs in the South Island.

Wilderness Trout Fishing

The ultimate experience includes camping in cabins on private land next to lakes and streams for a true kiwi fishing experience. There are many close streams and lakes to fill up your fishing schedule. This includes a daily guide fee, accommodation and all meals.

Enjoy the freedom of fishing anywhere you wish, while experiencing untouched waters and fresh mountain scenery. For lunch we will fly up to a glacier at the heights of the Southern Alps, then head back to secluded high country streams fishing the rest of the day away. The helicopter can hold up to 6 anglers with a second helicopter available, pricing is based on flying time and a daily guide fee.
